Saturday night in Tuscaloosa looked a lot like the past five seasons.
No. 19 LSU fell to No. 2 Alabama 24-10. It is the sixth season in a row that LSU has lost to the Crimson Tide.
However, head coach Ed Orgeron made it clear that his team will not stay in this rut.
“We’re coming,” Orgeron said. ”We’re coming, and we’re not backing down.”
Despite the loss, the Tigers actually earned more yards than the Tide. Senior running back Darrel Williams had an explosive night, averaging 12 yards per run.
Junior linebacker Arden Key also collected several sacks throughout the night.
“I thought we fought hard,” junior tight end Foster Moreau said. ”I’m proud of my guys.”
LSU will try to shake off the loss against Arkansas next weekend in Tiger Stadium. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m.
