Ten individuals have been booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison in connection to the LSU freshman Max Gruver’s death.
They have all been released on bond. The ten Phi Delta Theta members were taken into custody on hazing charges, a misdemeanor offense.
One student, Michael Alexander Naquin, was also charged with negligent homicide, a felony.
Naquin was released from the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a $10,000 bond. The other nine were released on $5,000 bonds.
Eight of the ten are still enrolled as students at the university. LSU’s disciplinary process is still underway, which means the eight students could still face expulsion from the university.
