An LSU police officer on a bicycle was struck by a vehicle on Fieldhouse Drive at 11:38 p.m. on Thursday, according to LSU Media Relations.
The officer was attempting to stop the vehicle, a dark-colored Toyota Prius, for speeding. The vehicle ran a stop sign, struck the officer, and fled. The officer was transported by EMS as a precaution. No injuries are reported.
