The first of two candidates applying for dean of the Graduate School will make a speech and take questions from students and faculty in Dodson Auditorium Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.The event is open to the public, and students or faculty may fill out an on-line survey evaluating the candidate for the Search Committee’s results.”We are following basically the same protocol as we did last time a new dean was put in place,” said Louis Day, alumni professor and Search Committee Chair.After the Search Committee gathers results, a memo will be sent to Provost Astrid Merget describing the strengths and weaknesses of each candidate.The second candidate, Patrick Hesp, Geography and Anthropology Department Chair, will speak Thursday at the same time and location.
