An LSU graduate student was hit by a vehicle this morning on River Road, according to a report by WBRZ.
Michael Bitton, a geography graduate student, was struck by a vehicle around 8:00 a.m. The vehicle subsequently left the scene.
Bitton sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Baton Rouge General Hospital.
According to the report, State Police think the car is either a 2005-2006 model Toyota Tundra or a 2005-07 Toyota Sequoia. The car is missing its right front headlight, a bug deflector and may have some body damage.
