Five local bands are competing for the opportunity to perform at the Wakarusa Music Festival in Ozark, Ark.
Baton Rouge is one of 20 college towns participating in a contest to book local bands at the festival.
Bogie’s Bar will host the competition tonight at 7:00 p.m., where attendees will watch the five bands perform and vote for the one to represent Baton Rouge.
The bands competing are Easy Company, Adam Smith, Flowtribe, Cliff Hines Quintet and Earphunk.
The bands will perform for a $5 cover, and attendees will be entered to win tickets to attend the music festival.
