Dallas Cowboys Owner and General Manager Jerry Jones fired Head Coach Wade Phillips Monday, according to a report by ESPN.
The ousting follows a 45-7 loss to the Green Bay Packers Sunday, which dropped the Cowboys to 1-7 for the season.
Jones’ decision comes less than a year after the Cowboys gave Phillips a two-year extension on his contract.
Offensive Coordinator Jason Garrett will take over for Phillips, according to ESPN.
