Parking on LSU’s campus will no longer be free to the public, the University announced Tuesday.
Formerly free lots near Highland Road and Tower Drive, as well as the Levee Lot on River Road and the Hayfield Lot on Gourrier Avenue will now be sold on a first-come, first-served and game to game basis.
The parking lot on the golf course Old Front Nine will also start charging a fee.
Parking in the Highland Road and Tower Drive lots will cost $40 per game, while the Levee, Hayfield and golf course lots will cost $20 per game, according to a press release.
Sales locations will be open on Friday nights to purchase permits to the Highland Road and Tower Drive lots. Gameday sales will begin at 5 a.m. for all lots.
Also starting in 2011 will be a $50 fee to park utility trailers on campus.
