BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Gov. Bobby Jindal is ordering the flags at all state buildings to be flown at half-staff this week, to memorialize Louisiana soldiers who have died in wars fought since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
The executive order runs until sunset on Sept. 11. It took effect at sunrise on Monday. Jindal issued the order late last week and his office released it Tuesday.
The governor’s office says 124 Louisiana soldiers have died because of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
