Former LSU Chancellor Sean O’Keefe joins six other new members of the Loyola University Board of Trustees, the Times-Picayune in New Orleans reported Sunday.
The 35-member Loyola board serves as the chief educational and financial policy maker for the university.
O’Keefe is currently head of the North American arm of EADS, a European aerospace firm, and has spent the past month recovering from a plane crash in Alaska that killed former Rep. Ted Stevens, R-Alaska.
O’Keefe joins Rev. R. Bentley Anderson, an associate professor of African and African-American studies at Fordham University in New YorkCity, Dr. Virginia Angelico-Tatum, a Hattiesburg, Miss. dentist, Bob Brown, managing director of the Business Council of New Orleans and the River Region, Anne Gauthier, a trustee of the Wendell & Anne Gauthier Family Foundation, Rev. Richard Salmi, president of Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala., and Rev. Stephen Sauer, pastor of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in New Orleans, according to the Times.
