LSU freshman forward Addie Eggleston was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week following her two-goal, three-assist debut Sunday in an 8-0 win against South Alabama.
Eggleston’s three assists in the game’s first 16 minutes tied an LSU single-game record. She then added two goals in the second half to help lead the Tigers to their most lopsided victory since a 2004 10-0 win against Southern.
The award is the second honor of the week for Eggleston, who was named Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week on Monday.
It is also the first time an LSU player has received a spot on the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week since Malorie Rutledge did so for the week of November 2, 2009.
