The LSU System announced Tuesday it has named a new chief financial officer.
Wendy Simoneaux has been appointed the new CFO, assistant vice president for budget and finance, and comptroller for the LSU System. Simoneaux previously served as the Associate Commissioner for Finance and Administration for the Board of Regents.
Simoneaux’s nomination is pending an approval by the Board of Supervisors at its October meeting.
Simoneaux will replace John Antolik, who will retire at the end of the month after 29 years with the LSU System.
Simoneaux will supervise the LSU System’s $3.5 billion annual budget, which covers 11 institutions, 24,000 employees and 54,000 students, according to an LSU System news release.
“Her understanding of the key relationships among institutions, board of supervisors, regents, the Legislature, and administration as well as her ability to work collaboratively among many institutional actors, and her demonstrated technical expertise represent a major resource for the LSU System,” LSU System President John Lombardi said in a news release.
