The LSU women’s tennis team has been picked to finish fifth in the Southeastern Conference Western Division, the LSU Athletic Department announced Friday in a news release.
LSU finished with 29 points in the SEC coaches preseason poll, three points behind fourth-place Auburn and 17 points ahead of last-place Mississippi State. Ole Miss was picked to win the SEC West with 66 points.
Florida was named the favorite to win the SEC East with 71 points.
The Lady Tigers start their season Sunday when they host Louisiana-Lafayette and Prairie View A&M at W.T. ‘Dub’ Robinson Stadium.
