Glen Duncan, director of communications at Pennington Biomedical Research Center, will give a presentation Monday, Dec. 6, on Louisiana’s new state flag.
The talk, “A Modern History of the Louisiana Pelican Flag; or, a Tale of the Suprisingly Difficult Quest for the Official State Flag,” will be held at noon in the Hill Memorial Library lecture hall.
Duncan will discuss both historical research and modern-day efforts that have contributed to the newest version of the flag, which was unveiled Nov. 22 at the swearing in ceremony for Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne.
