LSU beat Missouri 4-2 in its SEC opener, and Beau Jordan got his fourth home run of the season. However, LSU went 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position on the night.
“We’ve got to be a lot better with runners in scoring position, especially with less than two outs,” Jordan said.
LSU still entered the ninth inning with a lead, and Austin Bain closed the game for LSU after batting as well.
“I think he’s got so much confidence when he does good at the plate. He brings it on the mound, and you can really tell. I’m happy for Bain. He deserves the best.”
LSU’s next game against Missouri is Saturday, March 17th. First pitch is 6 p.m.
“I got my pitch, and I put a good swing on it, and it went out,” Beau Jordan on his solo homer
