LSU defeated the University of Hawaii 14-1 to clinch the series win against the Rainbow Warriors at the Box.
The Tigers started the series off with a 4-2 loss on Friday but came back on Saturday to win 5-1.
Freshman pitcher Ma’kail Hilliard set the tone for tigers in game 3 recording 3 strikeouts through 6 innings and later received a standing ovation after his first career start on the mound.
LSU displayed a strong offensive performance in game 3 recording 17 hits, led by Hunter Feduccia’s 4 RBI’s. The tigers scored 14 runs without producing a single home run.
LSU has played a challenging non-conference schedule early on in the season and Coach Manieri feels confident in his team heading into SEC play.
LSU’s next game will be against South Alabama at the Box on March 14th before beginning SEC play vs Missouri.
