Junior all-arounder Sarah Finnegan was named the Southeastern Conference Gymnast of the Week for the fifth time this season, the league announced Tuesday.
Finnegan led the Tigers to a 198.125-195.525 win over Arizona. She totaled an all-around score of 39.700 with perfect 10s on beam and bars.
Finnegan now owns 16 beam and bars titles to sit at second and fourth in school history respectively. She has also totaled five all-around titles this season. Finnegan’s 43 events titles rank 11th in school history.
LSU has now combined to earn 13 weekly honors in 11 weeks of competition.
While Finnegan leads the Tigers with five honors,senior all-arounder Myia Hambrick earned gymnast of the week three times while sophomore all-arounder Kennedi Edney earned it once.
All-arounders Sami Durante and Christina Desiderio have each been named SEC Freshman of the Week. Junior Lexie Priessman and senior Erin Macadaeg have each earn one specialist of the week honor.
The second-ranked Tigers will compete in the SEC Championship as the top see on March 24 in St. Louis, Missouri.
