This week’s Mothership playlist is gonna be hard to top… We started things off super funky with Shakey Ground by The Temptations (what. A. TUNE.) before hearing from Diana Ross & Chic. Things got soulful for a minute with tunes from Theo Katzman and Joey Dosik (sounding very Hall&Oats-y), then we moved on to some joyful songs from William Onyeabor and Cymande. To top off the show, we got a little jazzier with Miles Davis’ weird but irresistibly groovy Honky Tonk before hearing from the supreme leader of funk, Herbie Hancock. Enjoy!
