Junior quarterback Justin McMillan, who red-shirted his freshman year, lets us know that not only is he ready to hit the field but to also lead the team. Justin McMillan referred to himself as a project.
“I feel like as a player that wants to be better and wants to be the best he can be. I feel like everybody should think of themselves as that as far as taking as much coaching as possible and trying to be at least the best player that I can be. Not really the next guy or competition but focusing on what I can do great and what I need to work on. As far as a project that’s what I feel like I am,” he said.
As a running for the starting quarterback position Justin McMillan reassures us that “it’s safe to say for him to be in the hunt,” he said.
After being here for four years McMillan was able to learn from previous quarterbacks on how to lead a team, how to prepare, and how to just be the quarterback for LSU.
“Watching Danny, Brandon, and the guys from the past, and even Miles in the past season, just seeing what they’ve done and watching I feel like the game will go a lot slower for me because I’ve watched so much film. I’ve been in the film room so much. I’ve learned a lot from Danny as far as how to prepare for a game and an opponent,” he said.
After waiting four years McMillan lets us know that no matter how long it takes to get to the top and on the field he was committed.
“I committed to LSU as a school and as a program”.
