Friday, Feb. 16 2018, marks the opening of the Musical Theatre Club at LSU’s production of “Godspell,” the classic musical written by John-Michael Tebelak, and composed by Stephen Schwartz.
Directed by Colleen King, the cast of Godspell gives life to a series of parables, based on scriptures mostly from the Gospel of Matthew and the Gospel of Luke, with a focus on the development and unity of a community.
King hopes audiences will be awed by the message of community, and impressed at the level of talent and passion from her cast.
Performances for this production will be held at the Reilly Theatre from Friday, Feb. 16 at 7:30 p.m., through Saturday, Feb. 17, with two performances at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and closes Sunday Feb. 18 at 2 p.m., with all performances being free of admission.
