The LSU men’s tennis team had a dominant performance in Friday’s match against Nicholls, not dropping a match on any of the singles or doubles courts.
The Tigers simply overpowered the Colonels sweeping them 7-0.
LSU was able to keep their home win streak alive by not allowing Nicholls to win even a single set, which pleased Co-Head Coach Andy Brandi.
“Today was the best match that we’ve played emotionally all year,” Brandi said.
Although all seven Tigers played great tennis, one player stood out from the rest.
“We all felt like Shane Monroe stole the show today,” Brandi said. “During singles, he did all the things that we’ve been asking him to do in practice. And, it really showed in the way that he played.”
The Tigers will travel to Fayetteville on March 2nd to take on Arkansas for their first of five consecutive SEC matches.
