The Baton Rouge Gallery’s annual Kinetics fundraiser returns. This event includes a live auction with over 30 local artworks up for grabs, as well as a fashion show, local food and complimentary drinks.

The King of Pop is headed for Baton Rouge! Well, sort of. At MJ Live, a touring Michael Jackson tribute show, you can relive all of his hits and celebrate his life. The show kicks off at the Raising Cane’s River Center at 8 p.m.

The LSU Theatre’s production of “The Diary of Anne Frank” officially opens Friday night. The show will run through Sunday, November 18.

The 15th annual Louisiana Book Festival is set to take over the Capitol Park Museum. Come out to celebrate all things literature—readers, writers and books. The event takes place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Babysitting this weekend? If so, you may want to check out Wild Day at the Rowe. At this Perkins Rowe event, kids can meet ambassador animals from the Baton Rouge Zoo and play a bunch of fun games. It takes place between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The Robert A. Bogan Baton Rouge Fire Museum will host its Burning for Bogan Bash fundraiser this Saturday. Support the museum with whiskey, steaks and cigars for $45.

The last installment of the Arts Council of Baton Rouge’s free fall concert series Sunday in the Park will bring New Orleans-based soul group Souled Out to the Red Stick. The show starts at 2 p.m.

Manship Theatre will screen “Owned,” a somewhat hard-to-find documentary exploring the dark history behind the U.S. housing economy, at 7 p.m.
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 13

A new exhibit exploring failed presidential candidates opens at the Old State Capitol this Tuesday. The exhibit, titled “They Also Ran: Presidential Hopefuls,” asks guests to speculate what the world would look like under the control of the candidates that history left behind.

Popular metalcore band Atreyu is taking its talents to Varsity Theatre. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

“It’s just a flesh wound.” Manship Theatre will host a special sing-along screening of the 1975 classic “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” at 7:30 p.m.

The Bulldog, together with Friends of the Animals Baton Rouge, will host a Pints for Pups event Thursday night. Bring your four-legged friend along and down some brews for a good cause!
