The atmosphere in Death Valley was something memorable Saturday night after the LSU Tigers pulled off an upset win against the Georgia Bulldogs, who came into the game ranked number two in the nation.
LSU fans flooded the field, and players were grateful they were able to be a part of it.
“Having the fans there for the full sixty-minutes gives us that extra boost,” LSU RB Clyde Edwards – Helaire said. ” I’ve been living here 19 years (my whole life), and I’ve been to hundreds of games beforehand. But being able to see the stadium like that…i’ll never be able to get that moment back.”
“I expected that,” LSU RB Nick Brossette said. “The stadium is sold out, just seeing all those people, it was crazy. They played a big part of it today and we all got a win today.”
LSU S Grant Delpit says the atmosphere was unlike anything he’s ever seen.
“I’d only see that on TV,” Delpit said. “We got the best fans in the country and that was definitely a crazy experience.”
The Tigers hope to get that same level of support next Saturday when they host Mississippi State.
