LSU sophomore offensive lineman Ed Ingram was arrested on two counts of aggravated sexual assault in Dallas County on Aug. 2, The Advocate reported.
Ingram, a native of DeSoto, Texas, was suspended before preseason camp for a violation of team rules.
The alleged incident occurred in August 2017, before Ingram was enrolled at the University.
The DeSoto Police Department received a report from Child Protective Services on Aug. 22, 2017, but could not confirm the existence of the case because of state confidentiality laws.
Ingram was released on $40,000 on Aug. 4. The conditions of the bond include being prohibited to to leave the state of Texas or have contact with the victim and any minor child.
LSU coach Ed Orgeron would not provide an update on Ingram after Saturday’s preseason scrimmage because it involved “legal matters.”
