LSU women’s basketball assistant coach Mickie DeMoss was announced as a finalist for the 2018 Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame.

The announcement took place at halftime of the Notre Dame-Louisville women’s basketball game on ESPN.

Mickie DeMoss joined the Lady Tigers last season after serving as the interim head coach of Louisiana Tech.

DeMoss has been involved in collegiate women’s basketball, since she played for Louisiana Tech from 1974-77. DeMoss has served as assistant for Auburn, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Texas, and Tennessee, where she coached from 1985-2003 and 2010-12. She also served as an assistant for the WNBA Indiana Fever.

DeMoss served as head coach for Florida from 1979-83 and Kentucky from 2003-07.
