Senior Myia Hambrick’s floor routine to close out the night looked perfect.
However, the judges deemed it a 9.975.
Both head coach D-D Breaux and Myia’s teammates thought the routine was a perfect 10.
“I think Myia had a 10, without a shadow of a doubt,” Breaux said. “You can look at it over and over again. You can probably look at it in slow motion and find a deduction. There were some 10s thrown this weekend for some performances that weren’t perfect, but I thought her’s was perfect.”
The Tigers finished second in the Metroplex Challenge with a total of 197.375.
LSU returns home on Friday to take on No. 6 Kentucky at 7:30 p.m. CT.
