LSU center Will Clapp’s time as a Tiger has come to an end.
The junior decided to forego his senior season and declare for the 2018 NFL Draft, he announced via Twitter.
Clapp joins running back Derrius Guice, edge rusher Arden Key, tackle Toby Weathersby and cornerbacks Donte Jackson and Kevin Toliver as the sixth underclassmen to leave LSU.
After redshirting as a true freshman, Clapp has started all but one game in his following three seasons. He started 12 games at left guard, 12 at right guard and all 12 his junior season at center.
With the losses of both Weathersby and Clapp, LSU is working with a young offensive line in the 2018 season. Like Clapp, redshirt freshman Llyod Cushenberry III is expected to take snaps at guard and center following his departure.
