New York Giants assistant Thomas McGaughey has accepted an offer to become LSU’s special teams coach, the Newark Star-Ledger is reporting.
LSU’s athletic department hasn’t released anything official on the hire as of Wednesday afternoon.
McGaughey had been a special teams assistant for the Giants since 2007.
A University of Houston graduate, McGaughey served as special teams coordinator for his alma mater from 2003-04. After that he served on year as Denver Broncos special teams assistant from 2005-06.
