A University student was injured in an explosion in a Choppin Hall lab, according to reports.
The student was working with chemicals that exploded and caused a “flash flame” that burned the student, according to WBRZ.
Baton Rouge Police Department and LSU Police Department officers were called to the lab, and the fire was contained and students were allowed back in the lab by 3 p.m., according to WBRZ.
The WBRZ report gives no further extent of the student’s injuries.
