LSU men’s basketball coach Trent Johnson released a statement Monday announcing his plans to stay at LSU.

The Salt Lake Tribune had reported Johnson was a candidate for the head coaching vacancy at Utah, where former coach Jim Boylen was fired after a dismal 13-18 season.
