The LSU men’s basketball team will be without two players from this past season when it takes the court next year.
Guards sophomore Aaron Dotson and walk-on Daron Populist have left the team.
Dotson, who averaged 6.8 points this past season, will transfer to another school closer to his hometown of Seattle, Wash.
The Rainer Beach High School alumnus is returning to be closer to his family.
Populist saw limited playing time off the bench, entering the floor in 19 games with 16 total points in 2010-11.
LSU coach Trent Johnson said Populist will get an opportunity to earn a scholarship with another team.
