A 28-year-old woman unaffiliated with the University died this morning after being rushed to the hospital from the University’s East Campus Apartments.
The woman, Kristine Ritter, was pronounced dead when she arrived at Baton Rouge General Medical Center – Mid City following a 3:30 a.m. emergency call to LSUPD, according to Det. Jason Bettencourtt, LSUPD spokesman.
When LSUPD arrived to ECA, a University student who Bettencourtt said he could not identify was administering CPR to Ritter. Ritter was staying at ECA with the student, Bettencourtt said.
No foul play is expected in Ritter’s death, but incident is still under investigation and no cause of death has been determined, Bettencourtt said.
