All things must come to an end.
The LSU women’s tennis team will face that reality this weekend as it travels to the Utah Fall Invitational in Salt Lake City to wrap up the fall 2011 season.
The Lady Tigers will enter a one and a half month long break following the Utah Invitational, but before that happens, women’s coach Tony Minnis said he’s focusing on this weekend’s tournament.
This tournament will help them prepare for the indoor matches they’ll have next season, which Minnis believes will give them an edge.
“[The Utah Invitational] is going to give us good preparation to play indoors, because at some point in the spring, we’ll be playing indoor matches,” Minnis said. “We always do this at the end of every fall, to get some preparation game.”
Minnis specifically noted Wolf’s progress this season.
“[Wolf] is on a little bit of a roll,” Minnis said. “It’s going to be a good opportunity … to keep her momentum going, and to get her ranking up even indoors.”
Going into the tournament, Minnis said he’s liked what he’s seen from Bodine as well, and expects her to play well in Utah.
