NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Former Pro Bowl right tackle Jon Stinchcomb, who was released by the Saints during training camp, said Thursday that he is happy with life away from football and is retiring from the NFL.
Stinchcomb, who started every game for New Orleans for the previous five seasons, said he expected to retire when he was released on Aug. 16, but “wanted to sleep on it.”
“I’m really appreciative of that chapter of my life,” Stinchcomb said of his NFL career.
