Timothy Levine, Michigan State University professor of communication, is well-versed in the art of deception – the research aspect, that is.
Levine drew a room-filling crowd in Coates Hall on Thursday to speak of his research on deception.
The communications studies department in conjunction with the Louisiana Board of Regents sponsored Levine’s trip to the University, according to Graham Bodie, communication studies assistant professor.
Levine’s lecture, “Deception and Deception Detection,” focused on experiments he has conducted to discern why people lie, how often they lie and how well they can detect lies.
