Baton Rouge police searched senior quarterback Jordan Jefferson’s apartment and obtained DNA from him Wednesday afternoon.
Jefferson and his lawyer Nathan Fisher were present at the time the warrant was executed. Officers filled the trunk of a police car with bags obtained from his apartment.
“We gathered enough probable cause to obtain a search warrant, so we’re searching his house, looking for certain items to either prove or disprove the allegations against him,” said Sgt. Don Stone.
Jefferson, freshman wide receiver Jarvis Landry, sophomore linebacker Josh Johns and sophomore offensive lineman Chris Davenport were brought in for questioning Tuesday regarding the bar fight that occurred at Shady’s Bar last week.
Stone would not disclose what specific items for which police searched, but a report by WAFB said they were looking for a pair of Jefferson’s tennis shoes. TigerTV footage of BRPD search of Jefferson’s apartment Video courtesy of TIGERTV
LSU coach Les Miles said on his weekly radio show Wednesday the investigation has been a great distraction but didn’t comment on specifics of the search.
“It’s a side distraction to a great season that certainly we did not want,” Miles said. “I told our guys, ‘We made our beds, and now it’s time to get it
