Steve Kragthorpe, the former head coach of Louisville and Tulsa, will interview for LSU’s offensive coordinator position Tuesday, according to multiple reports.
Kragthorpe had a brief stint in the NFL as the Buffalo Bills quarterbacks coach before spending four seasons at Tulsa and three years at Louisville. Kragthorpe, 45, went a combined 44-43 at the two schools. He was fired by Louisville in November 2009 and accepted a wide receivers position at Texas A&M, but left the team citing family health concerns.
Kragthorpe was also the offensive coordinator at Northern Arizona, North Texas and Texas A&M.
Kragthorpe is the second name being thrown around for LSU’s vacant coordinator position. TCU co-offensive coordinator Justin Fuente reportedly interviewed for the position this past weekend.
The position opened last Thursday when former offensive coordinator Gary Crowton accepted the same position at Maryland.
