The LSU men’s tennis team has its work cut out for it this weekend.
The Tigers travel to Lubbock, Texas to compete in ITA Kickoff Weekend. LSU is the No. 4 seed, while host Texas Tech is the No. 1 seed, California is the No. 2 seed and Auburn is the No. 3 seed. 
Junior Sebastian Carlsson continues to be the bright spot for the squad. Carlsson nabbed the Southeastern Conference Indoor Consolation title on Jan. 17 against Kentucky’s Grant Roberts 6-2, 3-6, (10-6). 
LSU will open up play on Saturday against the top seeded Red Raiders. If the Tigers win, they will play Sunday at 3:00 p.m. for the championship. If they lose, they play Sunday at 12:00 p.m. for the consolation title.
