Grade: A+
Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis star in director Darren Aronofsky’s prima ballerinapsychological thriller “Black Swan.” The complex plot is full of layers of symbolism, psychosexual metaphors and rich thematic undertones that grab your attention in the first scene and keep it until the last. The psychological breakdown of Portman’s character, Nina Sayers, is vividly portrayed with hallucinations and vulgar scenes as her innocence and sanity slowly slip away. This Oscar-worthy film is both intense and intriguing but hard to watch and definitely not for everyone, with dark scenes and vulgarity.
