BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Gov. Bobby Jindal headed to Texas to attend fundraisers for Rick Perry’s bid for the Republican presidential nomination.
Jindal’s office says the governor traveled Tuesday to Houston and Corpus Christi to help Perry raise campaign cash.
Perry, the Texas governor, has slipped in recent polls tracking who will get the GOP nomination to challenge President Barack Obama in next year’s election, but Jindal has maintained his endorsement, calling Perry the best candidate for the job.
