Injuries
- Freshman third baseman O’Neal Lochridge is still recovering from a back fracture earlier in the season.
- Junior pitcher Alden Cartwright is out after an arm injury in Sunday’s 10-5 win over Auburn and is set to undergo an MRI.
- Freshman pitcher Jake Latz is still recovering from an elbow surgery in the fall, but LSU coach Paul Mainieri is optimistic he will be available for next week’s midweek games against McNeese State and Grambling State.
- Junior pitcher Riley Smith is still “progressing,” Mainieri said.
