It’s that time of the year again when Memphis’ own legendary punk label Goner Records puts on Gonerfest– a 4 day celebration of the local/worldwide underground punk scene along with the label’s artists itself. The 13th annual Gonerfest will kick off Thursday, September 29 and last through the weekend (October 2nd). The fest is bringing in headliners such as the Black Lips, Reigning Sound (with the original line-up) and L.A.’s Kid Congo & the Pink Monkey Birds.
Along with bands coming in globally from places such as Australia and New Zealand this year, you can always expect local Memphis and New Orleans favorites (and, ok, my favorites!) to rip through the Goner stages. Bands such as NOTS, Buck Biloxi, Trampoline Team, Aquarian Blood and Causal Burn are all on the line-up for Gonerfest 13 and you should be stoked!
