In just three weeks, the Victoria’s Secret PINK tour bus will make its way near campus. The Victoria’s Secret PINK store on wheels has embarked on a college campus tour and will stop at the Wildwood Baton Rouge apartment complex near the University Sept. 28th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Through sponsored events and social media accounts, campus representatives are expected to create PINK brand hype and awareness for the LSU community. Their duties range from passing out freebies to hosting contests for prizes and showcasing and styling new PINK products.
“It’s going to be such a fun day to shop, score freebies and hang out with PINK,” said VS PINK LSU Campus Rep Skylar Beasley.
Though LSU did not win the PINK Campus Showdown, the competition will reappear on LSU’s social media scene next year. This year, the competition included five rounds presented on various social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat.
LSU competed against 97 other schools in the PINK Campus Showdown but did not win any of the challenges.
“It’s a good way to raise school spirit, and we’re a competitive school,” mass communication senior, Kristen White said.
Aside from the PINK bus tour stop, VS PINK Campus Reps will also host a “Welcome Week” event in the near future. In addition to multiple social media competitions throughout the semester, there will be a fashion show viewing party at the year’s end.
