The Student Health Center will still be closed Monday, according to an LSU Media Relations press release. More information on the SHC’s reopening will be available Monday evening.
Restoration and cleanup after Thursday night’s fire are underway. Preliminary estimates show the damage at approximately $1.7 million, according to the release. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
“We appreciate everyone’s patience during this time,” said D’Ann Morris, executive director of the LSU Student Health Center, in the press release. “We have crews working around the clock to get the facility back online as soon as possible for our patients.”
Full restoration of the impacted area should take approximately six months, according to the release.
