LSU head coach Ed Ogeron was joined by sophomore running back Derrius Guice and senior defensive back Tre’Davious White in a postgame press conference following their huge win against the Louisville Cardinals in the 2016 Citrus Bowl.
Guice was named the game’s MVP.
“Coach O and the offense and coach [Jabbar] Juluke did a great job of getting all of us ready,” Guice said. “The O-line did a great job. [Junior quarterback] Danny [Etling] did a great job with the pass game to open up the running lanes, and everything just executed the way we planned. We came out victorious.”
This was also the last game defensive back White would suit up for the Tigers.

“I wanted to go out a winner,” White said. “I feel like the way that Coach O prepares us and the way he cares about the players, it’s next to none. I’m happy he got the job, and I was happy that I was able to go out on a win and get the ball rolling for these guys going into spring.”
