LSU Spring Invitational gets underway
The University Club on Nicholson Drive will set the scene for the second-annual LSU Spring Invitational, which will be held March 1-3.
The 23rd-ranked LSU men’s golf team won the event last season in the Spring Invitational’s inaugural year.
A total of 19 teams have been invited to compete against LSU and partake in this year’s three-day match, including Kansas St., Southeastern Conference adversary Mississippi St., and in-state rivals Tulane, University of Louisiana-Lafayette and Southeastern Louisiana.
The par-72, 7,274-yard course was completed in the fall of 1998 and is the home course for both the LSU men’s and women’s golf teams.
The starting time for the event is set for Friday at 7:30 a.m. with Jacksonville St. and Oral Roberts teeing off first.
