‘Alpha Week’ kicks off Sunday
Many activities staged for duration

The Nu Psi chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. attended worship service at Bethany World Prayer Center South on Sunday. This service marked the beginning of Alpha Week, a weeklong event with different activities for each day.
Events for the week of Alpha Week include a “You Think You Got Game” forum Monday at 7 p.m., featuring Dr. Daewood Sultan. The event takes place in the Royal Ballroom in the Union.
A Ms. Black and Gold Pageant will take place Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Union’s Cotillion Ballroom.
On Wednesday at 7 p.m., Alpha Project will take place at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
Students can enjoy good food at a Women’s Appreciation and Relaxation BBQ Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Women’s Center. And, Friday night at 10 p.m., a free party, called FROZEN the “COLDFRONT” will take place at the Alpha House.
The week will conclude with a community service project at Harding Elementary. The project takes place Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon.
