The Baton Rouge Homicide Task Force announced yesterday it will end its scheduled bi-weekly briefings.
Cpl. Mary Ann Godawa of the Baton Rouge Police Department said the Task Force has reached a point in the investigation when tips slow down.
“The investigation does not hinge on tips,” Godawa said. “The investigators have other avenues to investigate.”
Godawa also said the task force will continue to work on the investigation and will not stop until the person responsible for the murders is arrested.
Godawa stressed the importance for citizens to not let their guard down and remain cautious, vigilant and alert.
The Task Force still encourages tips. Anyone with information can contact the Task Force at (225) 389-3310, 1-866-389-3310, (225)344-7867 or P.O. Box 3652, Baton Rouge, La., 70821.
