Police arrested an individual Nov. 25 after detecting a marijuana odor.
Police charged Bryan Keith Parker, 28, 58160 Bayou Jacob Road, Plaquemine, La., with possession of Xanax, a schedule IV drug, simple possession of marijuana and violation of a drug-free zone.
A plainclothes officer smelled a burning odor on South Stadium Road.
The officer checked the individual’s car and found a bottle of pills determined to be Xanax and a cigarette butt determined to be marijuana, police said.
Police booked the individual into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on the above charges.
In an unrelated incident, police issued a misdemeanor summons to three University students Nov. 27 in connection with a marijuana odor in Graham Hall, police said.
Police charged Amanda Frances Doyle, 18, 137 Renwood Circle, with simple possession of marijuana, simple possession of the schedule IV drug Hydro-Codine,
possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of a drug-free zone.
Blake Austin Ammons, 18, 6631 Sandstone Ave., Baton Rouge, and Ryan Joseph Aucoin, 19, 220 Wilkie St., Lafayette, were arrested for simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police discovered the schedule IV drugs after searching Doyle’s room.
They found a small bag containing a substance identified as marijuana and a small package containing a white substance identified as Hydro-Codine, police said.
Police took the individuals to LSUPD, where they were issued the summons.
The three individuals will go before a judge at a later date to defend the charges, police said.
