We’re a little late on this trend, but with all the gluteus maximus messages on girls’ shorts these days, The Reveille couldn’t ignore this clothing movement. Retro fashion is in. So it is no surprise the short shorts of ’70s and ’80s with cute messages written on the fanny are back.
Often the message is simple, communicating the logo of the clothier or even an athletic number, but some of the derriere graffiti are more risque. “Boy Toy,” “Lucky” or even “You Wish” have been spotted on many LSU ladies.
Many women we interviewed were embarrassed about their latest classroom chic and were taken aback about being on camera, but in the end we found a few who defended their backside.
